SusFon and sister organizations develop innovative economic and environmental solutions for complex multi-stakeholder situations. The team has been working with multi-lateral agencies and funders, international and multilateral agencies, and regional economic communities for over 15 years. These include UNDP, UNEP, UNICEF, UNOPS, UNIDO, the Global Environment Fund (GEF), the African Development Bank (AfDB), DFID, and GIZ, among others. In addition, SusFon and our sister organizations have also worked with the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Secretariat.
SusFon and our sister organizations have worked extensively with national and local governments and communities in South Africa. These include departments such as Dept. of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment, Dept. of Water and Sanitation, Dept. of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition.
SusFon and our sister organizations have led, managed, and delivered numerous large-scale programmes, building a track record of delivering projects within budget and on time. Policies, systems, and procedures are in place within SusFon to ensure ethical management and accurate reporting.
Central to successful delivery is SusFon's extensive network of partner institutions and experts with whom we regularly collaborate. Through this network, SusFon and our sister organizations have access to resources covering a range of disciplines within the field of economic development natural resource conservation, and sustainable utilization, allowing for a high level of flexibility to satisfy client needs and related quality standards.
Experience has taught SusFon the value of capturing local knowledge and practice in considering sustainability and equitable benefit sharing of natural resources, climate change and disaster management, waste, and economic solutions. SusFon and our sister organizations are proud of our integrative attitude towards projects, with stakeholder consultation, institutional strengthening, and participatory analysis being critical and pivotal aspects of all our projects.
SusFon also prides itself on the communication and interpersonal skills of the team and the ability to capture and report complex problems in a simple and reader-friendly manner.
